Coleman Domingo is becoming my favorite actor. He can really turn reading the phone book into a compelling story. And it’s almost as compelling as Madness is right now. The dialogue is almost embarrassingly bad. They try so hard to be fast-paced and snappy, but it feels so predictable and stale. From the very beginning, there are so many things in the story that just defy the most basic common sense. I kept asking myself ‘why why why?!’ So much so that after episode 2, I skipped episode 7 just to see what happens at the end. I have little doubt that the episodes I missed contained little more than a lot of overwrought story and unnecessary dialogue.
