Katie, a freelance video editor in need of work, receives a high-paying offer from an anonymous employer to edit a mysterious and strange video. Experiencing a lack of money and risking being evicted, Katie enthusiastically agrees to this job. The video shows how people are interrogated and even killed on camera – undoubtedly, this is just a carefully staged fiction. But when the first job leads to even more profitable work and more disturbing and realistic crime films, Katie’s life begins to crumble. Strange characters in her apartment, terrible nightmares that keep her awake, and a mysterious illness that struck her cat. Only when Kathy decides to quit her job does she learn how cruel her anonymous employer is and what measures she is willing to go to in order to break the contract.
