Helen embarks on a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is
Caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, Helen’s employer calls in Sam to protect her. Bingo, the owner of the guitar shop where Sam sources his weapons, is played by Rat Scabies, a member of classic punk band The Damned.

Helen (Knightley) is married to a government official and is the mother of twins
Unbeknownst to her husband and friends, she is a member of Black Doves, a secret organisation that sells information to the highest bidder. When her lover is murdered, along with two others, she becomes determined to uncover the connection that connects the three of them and get revenge on the person responsible.
Tracy Ullman gives a fine performance as the leader of a dangerous gang
To do so, she enlists the help of her friend Sam (Wishaw), a killer who was brought back to London by his boss (Lancashire). Well-acted and absorbing, Black Doves was interesting because it showed how Helen, Sam and two other killers were able to compartmentalize their lives and how, in Sam’s case, that ends up interfering in their relationship.
