When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and was prepared to audition people who looked like Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they should at least pitch it to Ford first, thinking he would immediately reject it, but at least other people would hear that the project was being pitched to Harrison Ford, sparking interest from other notable actors. In the end, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince her, but he was elated nonetheless.

His dry delivery is the absolute best

Harrison Ford is simply amazing in this show! His goofy demeanor and sharp tongue are now my life goals as I reach my senior years. He’s hysterical and I need more of that in my life!!!

This show is so beautifully written

Also, if you’re a Jason Segel fan, you won’t be disappointed. It has well-rounded characters dealing with real issues. It hits all the feels and makes you want more every week.
